Designed for analysis of quality of waters with low turbidity, HI 98713 measures turbidity of a sample in the range of 0.00 to 1000 FNU. An appropriate algorithm converts the signals from the photodetectors so as to provide readings in FNU. Depending on the measured sample and needed accuracy, you can select the normal measurement mode, continuous or signal averaging. The optical system according to standard ISO 7027 comprises a light source in infrared LED and two photo-detectors, which provide long-term stability and minimize the interferences due to the color and scattered light (stray light). This system is also able to compensate for variations in intensity of the LED, minimizing the need for frequent calibration.
cuvettes cylindrical with a diameter of 25 mm are constructed with special optical glass to ensure the reliability and repeatability of the readings.
HI 98713 is equipped with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), which allow you to keep track of calibration data. In fact, the points used, the date and time of last calibration are always available by simply pressing a button.
HI 98713 has a simple user interface with a large screen full of messages that guide the user through the normal operations of routine and during calibration.
The instrument’s memory can store up to 200 measurements for future reference. The stored data can then be analyzed by transferring them to a PC via RS232 or USB, with software HANNA (optional).
For field applications, the HI 98713 turbidimeter is equipped with the advanced Fast Tracker ™ (TIS – Tag Identification System) identification of samples, which makes the collection and management of data as simple as they had never been.
