HI 83414-02 Professional tool for measures turbidity and chlorine free / total
HI 83414 is a professional tool with high precision, which combines turbidity and colorimetric measurements in a single instrument, allowing you to analyze the two most important parameters for drinking water: turbidity and the concentration of free chlorine / total. The instrument has been designed specifically for water quality analysis, as it provides accurate and reliable measurements for low values of turbidity and chlorine.
HI 83414 meets and exceeds the requirements of USEPA and Standard Methods both for turbidity measurements for those of chlorine.
With the powerful CAL CHECK ™, the reliability of colorimetric measurements may be validated at any time using the standard exclusive HANNA ready-made, NIST prepared according to the references. With the same standards it is also possible to perform a calibration on one point.
Advanced optical system delivers accurate, ensures long-term stability and minimizes interference from color and scattered light (stray light). Moreover, the instrument compensates for variations in intensity of the light source (lamp), requiring less frequent calibrations. The narrow band interference filter @ 525 nm channel colorimetric ensures accurate and repeatable results. The repeatability of the measurements is also guaranteed by the cuvettes with a diameter of 25 mm, made of special optical glass.
Turbidity measurements can be performed in the range of 0.00 to 4000 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) with ratiometric method and in the range of 0.00 to 40.0 NTU when using the ratiometric method. HI 83414 is also equipped with a reading mode which rounds the results in accordance with the format required by the EPA method. There are also alternative units of measurement, EBC and Nephelos. Depending on the sample and the accuracy desired, you can select the mode of continuous measurement or signal averaging.
calibration can be performed on two, three, four or five points using the standard supplied (<0.1, 15, 100, 750, and 2000 NTU). If prepared standards are used, the calibration points can be changed. The range of measurement of free and total chlorine 0.00 to 5.00 mg / l (ppm).
HI 83414 is equipped with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and a graphic display, easy to use, with context-sensitive online help . Acoustic warnings and confirmation assist the user in various operations.
data memory can store up to 200 samples can be recalled later. For more analysis options, data can be downloaded to a PC through a USB port.
