Quick and easy determination of low range chlorineThese test strips allow the quick and easy detection of low range total Chlorine (total chloramines). The easy dip-and-read procedure provides reliable results within 20 sec.Chlorine is mainly known for its use as a disinfectant, but used in many other applications as well. Testing of chlorine levels is important in many areas due to the strong oxidizing qualities of chlorine and its potentially adverse health effects.
The test strips are used to detect low range chlorine in disinfectants (e.g. dialysis, hospitals, food industry, pools & spas, …), in rinse and drinking water.
In aquacultures and fish farming, chlorine levels have to be monitored carefully because they can be harmful to aquatic life. Preferably, values are below 5 ppm.
In horticultures, chlorine is often used as a preservative after harvesting flowers.
